How the race order will be set for Monday’s Alsco 300

NASCAR’s Xfinity Series returns on Monday for its Charlotte race. We break down how the race order will be determined for the Alsco 300.

NASCAR is dealing with rain issues for a second straight location since restarting the season, but will look to get in the second Xfinity Series race of the past week. Last week’s Toyota 200 at Darlington was postponed from Tuesday to Thursday due to inclement weather. Now, the Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 is dealing with bad weather in Charlotte, which puts the Xfinity Series race in danger of delay as well.

If things go as planned, the Xfinity Series will run the Alsco 300 on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The race will air on FS1.

The Xfinity Series is sticking with random draw to set the race grid. The Cup Series got back to qualifying at the Coca-Cola 600, but the Alsco 300 was determined entirely randomly. Ross Chastain won the draw and claimed the pole. He did not claim a pole award for the random draw. Brandon Jones will join him on the front row. Justin Haley and Justin Allgaier are on the second row, followed by Riley Herbst and Austin Cindric on the third row.

Kyle Busch is the heavy favorite, installed at -134 and starting the race in the 18th position. Chase Briscoe has the next best odds at +450 and is starting in the 8th position. It’s a drop from there with Allgaier at +1000.
