Tale of the tape for Blagoy Ivanov vs. Augusto Sakai

UPDATE: How the public is betting Ivanov-Sakai

Two ranked heavyweights fight for the chance to move up in the UFC’s Top 15 when Blagoy Ivanov faces Augusto Sakai this Saturday, May 30th at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The #12-ranked Bulgarian Ivanov is 18-3 as an MMA fighter, but 2-2 since joining the UFC with all his fights going the distance. He fell to Derrick Lewis on November 2nd by split decision, but he’s capable of winning however is needed: He has six pro wins by knockout, six by submission, and six on the judges scorecards.

Sakai is from Curtiba, Brazil, and has a 14-1-1 record, including 3-0 in the UFC. His #13 ranking comes from his hands, as he’s got 10 career knockouts which account for all his stoppages. His last fight in September was a first minute KO of Marcin Tybura, and has only attempted one take down in his UFC career.
