The SK Wyverns and Doosan Lions are facing off in a KBO matchup Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and DraftKings will have Showdown contests available for the game. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.
Jose Fernandez, 1B/2B, Doosan Bears: $16,500
Fernandez has had a pair of off games, but is still one of the most consistent batters in the KBO. He’s batting .480 and leads the league in hits (36), runs (18), and OBP .506. He’s pricy, but has a good chance to bounce back against the team that’s given up the second most runs (113) in the KBO.
Jamie Romak, 1B/OF, SK Wyverns: $14,400
This year’s Romak can’t compare to the player who’s hit at least 29 home runs in each oh is last three seasons, but he’ll have an opportunity to flourish against some shaky pitching Wednesday. Hui Kwan Yu doesn’t strike out many batters and has given up 24 hits in in 15 innings. It’s unlikely that he’ll be able to go a full game, and Doosan’s pitchers have given up more hits (209) than any team in the KBO.
Jae Hwan Kim, 1B/OF, Doosan Bears: $10,400
Kim’s home run power is too much to ignore. The Wyverns’ pitching hasn’t been great, and Kim has been one of the more successful hitters in the KBO in recent years. He’s batting .299 with four home runs. His 17 RBI’s rank fourth in the league.
Jeong Choi, 3B/SS, SK Wyverns: $9,000
Like Romak, Choi is also a slugger having a down year. He’s batting just .153 with a home run and 4 RBIs, but went 2-for-3 against Chris Flexen — one of Doosan’s best pitchers — on Tuesday. That momentum could carry into Wednesday and help him put together a solid streak of games.
