The KBO has another full five-game slate set for Wednesday, and DraftKings will have classic contests available. We break down some ideal picks at each position below. You can set your lineup here.
Pitcher: Odrisamer Despaigne, KT Wiz ($8,300)
Despaigne is among the league leaders with 21 strikeouts. His 2.25 is impressive through four starts. While the Tigers get a fair amount of hits, they’re a middle-of-the-road team in terms of run production.
Catcher: Jin Sung Kang, NC Dinos ($2,700)
Kang is becoming a household name in KBO DFS. He was rostered in more than 50 percent of lineups in Tuesday’s big classic slate. While he came up short and only tallied one hit against the Kiwoom Heroes, his .475 batting average, four home runs, and 15 RBIs show how productive he can be. You can afford a miss at catcher for this price.
First Base: Roberto Ramos, LG Twins ($3,800)
Ramos’ price is still rising after putting together an impressive performance in his last outing. He went 1-for-3 Tuesday and hit his league-leading eighth home run of the season. He tallied 16 DKFP in the game and should continue to have a high ceiling moving forward.
Second Base: Jose Fernandez, Doosan Bears ($6,000)
Fernandez has had two off games in a row, causing his price to drop $400. But he should benefit from facing one of the least productive pitchers in the slate. He leads the KBO in a ton of statistical categories as a batter and will be available for less than his usual price.
Shortstop: Ha Seong Kim, Kiwoom Heroes ($5,800)
Kim was hitless Tuesday against the NC Dinos Chang Mo Koo, but got on base twice by being walked. He’s seen his price rise significantly because of his recent success and has a good chance to continue thriving against lesser pitching.
Third Base: Jeong Choi, Sk Wyverns ($4,500)
Choi will be facing Hui Kwan Yu, who doesn’t have the velocity to strike out many batters and has given up 10 hits in two of his three starts this year. Doosan has five pitchers who have given up over 20 hits this season and have also conceded more runs (126) than any team in the KBO.
Outfield: Preston Tucker, Kia Tigers ($6,300)
Tucker had a strong showing Tuesday with two hits and an RBI. He also scored one run and was walked once. Multiple power hitters are dealing with injuries ahead of Wednesday, which makes paying up for Tucker seem reasonable — especially after the 14 fantasy points he posted Tuesday.
Outfield: Aaron Altherr, NC Dinos ($5,200)
Altherr exploded for 32 DKFP Tuesday on two hits, one home run, and four RBIs. He also stole a base and scored two runs. When Altherr can get on base, he’s lethal. His price dropping after one of his biggest performances of the year makes him worth taking a chance on him.
