The Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in a rainy Wednesday Madden sim at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs ($17,400)

Mahomes should benefit from facing yet another poor pass defense. He’s eclipsed 20 fantasy points five times in his last six games. He is a pricey option who is returns value more often than not. It’s hard to see him falling short of 20 fantasy points with his abundance of weapons. He lit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers up in the rain not long ago and shouldn’t have a problem playing in inclement weather again.

Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars ($11,100)

Fournette has consistently reached double-digits in fantasy points for the most part this season. While D.J. Chark Jr. is a solid WR1, he’ll have to deal with two defensive backs — Kendall Fuller and Tyrann Mathieu — who have better overall ratings than him. Fournette has a better chance of finding success on the ground than Chark does through the air. Choosing him as a cheaper captain option could help you stack more Kansas City players in the flex. Gardner Minshew isn’t as talented as Mahomes throwing the football, so the ground attack might be a safer option for Jacksonville.

Flex Men

Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs ($10,800)

Hill is consistently one of most expensive receivers in Madden seems because of his blazing 99 speed. As usual, none of the opposing team’s defensive backs should be able to keep up with him. The fastest player in the Jaguars’ secondary has 91 speed, and the player with the best rating is an 86 overall. Hill should have a good chance to return value with this mismatch.

James O’Shaughnessy, TE, Jaguars ($5,800)

O’Shaughnessy has modest stats across the board but has been a vital contributor to Jacksonville’s offense. He’s flirted with a double-digit DKFP average for some time and is one of the cheaper options you can hope for solid production from.
