Modest sleeper and deep sleeper options for NASCAR DFS at today’s Alsco Uniforms 500

We break down some sleepers and some deep sleepers today’s Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

UPDATE: Rain has forced a postponement. The race will run on Thursday.

One of the biggest races on the NASCAR calendar might feel different today without fans, but you can still get your bets down for the Alsco Uniforms 500 today at 6:00 p.m. ET on Fox. DraftKings has plenty of DFS contests going for the race, and we break down some of the best picks to round out your roster below, and you can set your lineup here.

Modest Sleepers

Matt DiBendetto ($6,500)

Started 33rd and finished 18th at the Coca-Cola 600 on Saturday, had three fastest laps and six laps led, and did so using a backup car. But today gets a boost as he takes the green flag in the fourth spot, and as we’ve seen at Charlotte those that run towards the top tend to have an advantage. His three Top 10’s in eight races might see a fourth join that total today.

John Nemechek ($5,700)

Went from 25th to 17th on Sunday at this track while also leading a lap and having the fastest three laps during the race. Should have a shot at more clean air today starting in the fifth position, and seems to know how to stay out of trouble.

Deep Sleepers

Corey Lajoie ($5,400)

Seems to not get in trouble, and that can be valuable. Though he finished eighth at the Daytona 500 for 65 fantasy points, he’s not come close to that since. But he also has averaged 17.7 points since, so if you need someone cheap to round out your roster he’s an option. And he’s in a Ford and they seem to be running a bit better at Charlotte so far.

Michael McDowell ($4.500)

The cheapest guy on the board. But since track position is so important at Charlotte, it helps that he’s starting third today. Averaging 27.5 points per race this season, and has a fastest lap in over half the races. He just might be worth a gamble.
