The Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints will face off in a Madden sim Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

Michael Thomas ($16,200)

Run this pick back. It was only a few days ago we had Michael Thomas and the Saints on the Showdown slate. MT came through for us with another double-digit fantasy outing, this time 17.8 points against the Browns. If Thomas were in the movie Swingers starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau, he’d be “so money ...” except he knows it.

D.J. Chark ($13,200)

Outside of Thomas, Chark has the highest ceiling of any other player, so we’ll go with him in the Captain’s spot. Both are going to be really chalky but this also could be a pretty chalky type of contest. The Jags offense is bad and the Saints are known for giving up some big plays. Thomas is the lock, Chark is the pop.

FLEX Men

Jared Cook ($7,800)

If Thomas is money, Cook is Rod Tidwell after Jerry Maquire showed him the money. Cook has posted double-digit fantasy points in four straight simulations, catching a combined 31 passes for 314 yards and a TD in that stretch. It’s been an impressive run, a run in which we’ve seen Cook’s price drop from $8,400 to $7,200 for some reason. Now it’s back up to $7.8K, which is still low in my mind.

Marqise Lee ($4,800)

Every now and then Lee reminds us that he’s on the Jaguars roster. Usually those games consist of 3-4 catches and a TD, which is great at this price. The bad thing is we won’t see much more than that from Lee, though it’s in the realm of possibility. Lee’s appeal in this contest is that he’ll likely go overlooked and won’t have high ownership. If the Jags score once and it’s Lee, you’re looking strong.
