Best lineup strategy for Packers vs. Texans Madden simulation Showdown

The Packers and Texans square off in a Sunday Madden simulation at DraftKings. We break down Showdown strategy to consider.

The Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans will face off in a Madden sim Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

Deshaun Watson ($15,900)

If you’re looking to captain one of the top QBs in this contest, Watson is the way to fgo over Aaron Rodgers ($16,500). Watson’s averaging 20.3 fantasy points per simulation and it’s mostly thanks to his rushing upside. He’s got at least 61 rushing yards in each of the past three simulations.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($7,200)

I like DeAndre Hopkins ($15,000) as a secondary captain to Watson, but the prices on both those guys is really high. If you want to pay down a bit at Captain, then MVS is the way to go. He’s averaging 11.7 fantasy points per simulation and has a high ceiling. Two sims ago he dropped over 20 fantasy points against a tough Patriots defense.

FLEX Men

Will Fuller V ($7,400)

Fuller’s price is a bit high, but at least you can play him in simulations. He was injured most of the 2019 season for the Texans. Fuller has been solid in sims though, posting 10.3 fantasy points per contest. He’s got three TDs in the past five simulations and double-digit fantasy points in three of the past five games.

Geronimo Allison ($3,000)

I talk a lot about cheap WRs in these Showdowns and this is a good contest to target one. Allison is averaging 10.6 fantasy points per game, which is right behind MVS and Davante Adams ($9,600). Other than his previous stream, Allison had at least five receptions in four straight games.
