UPDATE 7:49 pm: Jamahal Hill wins by TKO at 1:51 in the first round. “Sweet Dreams” put it to his opponent quickly and impressively, and we’ve had four stoppages in our first four fights tonight.
The preliminary card for tonight’s UFC on ESPN 9 includes Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill putting his perfect 7-0 MMA record on the line against veteran Klidson “White Bear” Abreu in a light heavyweight bout.
Though the betting handle has come in significantly on Hill, the percentage of bets being much more in Abreu’s favor has actually moved the line in his direction. This could be bookmakers anticipating late cash coming in on the underdog Brazilian Abreu. Though he has lost two of his three fights since joining the UFC, all the results have been by decision.
Hill has four stoppages in his seven-fight career, and won his only UFC fight in January against Darko Stosic. This one might go the distance, but for now the bookmakers seem less impressed than the big bettors despite his never losing as a professional.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Jamahal Hill vs. Klidson Abreu at UFC on ESPN on May 30th:

Jamahal Hill: Opened at -143, now at -129 — 79% handle, 59% bets
