The Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in a Sunday Madden sim at 2:00 p.m. ET. This game has the makings of a shootout because of the poor secondaries on both sides, and we break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game here. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions ($14,700)

Golladay is the Lions’ best deep threat, and they could take some big shots down the field in this game. Detroit has a nonexistent ground game, and Philadelphia’s run defense is top notch. That means throwing the ball gives the Lions their best chance to move the chains. Golladay is the top rated receiver in the contest and is a big target at 6’4” with 92 jumping, 92 catching, and 95 spectacular catching.

Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles ($12,900)

Golladay is the highest rated wideout, but Ertz is the highest rated pass catcher in general. He has the best catching rating (93) in the contest and is a safer play than Golladay because of his consistency. He just doesn’t give you the chunk yardage Golladay can accrue on a few catches. You have to love Carson Wentz’s favorite target against the worst pass defense in the game.

Flex Men

Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles ($7,600)

Unlike Detroit, Philadelphia has a solid offensive line and an ultra-productive running back. He’s versatile like He’ll likely get more touches than Kerryon Johnson and J.D. McKissic combined and has the numbers to back it up. His price often isn’t indicative of his impact in showdown contests.

J.D. McKissic, RB, Lions ($2,200)

McKissic is dirt cheap but usually gives you more than Johnson out of the backfield. He has more impact on the passing game, and the Eagles’ defensive line could make Detroit call more plays out of the gun. McKissic’s main appeal is PPR points, but if he gets a score he’ll return a ton of value.
