Best lineup strategy for Texans vs. Seahawks Madden simulation Showdown

The Texans and Seahawks square off in a Monday Madden simulation at DraftKings. We break down Showdown strategy to consider.

The Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

DeAndre Hopkins ($16,200)

When you look at this contest, right away there’s an easy way to separate a few players. Deshaun Watson ($15,600), Russell Wilson ($17,400) and Hopkins are all averaging over 17 fantasy point per sim. The next highest player is Will Dissly ($9,600) at 11.9 FPPG. That discrepancy alone tells us ownership will be high on the three studs, but that’s as to be expected. Hopkins is my favorite of the bunch since he’s a WR.

DK Metcalf ($9,300)

I just generally love WRs in these simulated Showdowns and Metcalf is coming off a monster game in a tough matchup vs. the Patriots. He posted five catches for 162 yards and two TDs for 36.2 DKFP. Some of his games before that don’t inspire much confidence but neither does the Texans defense, which has allowed some good offenses to put up points. Metcalf can break one and that’s all we’d need, plus his ownership will be low at Captain probably.

FLEX Men

Will Dissly ($6,400)

I mentioned Dissly before but it wasn’t for any purposes of use in the Captain’s spot. Dissly is a better FLEX since his price is lower and his ceiling isn’t too high. The floor is what makes Dissly a decent play and in most games in which he scores, Dissly usually hovers around 20 points. He’s also leading the Seahawks receivers in FPPG, so that’s a thing.

Keke Coutee ($1,800)

I’ll skip the cheap WRs speech and get right to it. Coutee is a very interesting value play. Verry, very interesting. He’s got back-to-back games of double-digit fantasy points. He’s caught a TD in two of three games. Even some of Coutee’s floor games are still in the 5-7 point range. I mean, this price doesn’t make much sense to me. Coutee feels like a free space in your lineup.
