Hardy vs. De Castro results: Greg Hardy wins by unanimous decision
In the lesser of the two heavyweight bouts on the main card for UFC 249, former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy faces fellow newcomer Yorgan De Castro in a battle that isn’t expected to go the distance.
Greg Hardy played six years in the NFL but a 2014 arrest for assaulting and choking his girlfriend, followed by more issues away from the field during his time with the Dallas Cowboys, forced him from the league. And despite De Castro being undefeated, he hasn’t been tested by a fighter of any note as of yet.
There is heavy action on De Castro despite the underdog status, with 45% of the cash and 49% of the tickets written on the money line in his favor. This might be bettors looking for even more of a reason to root against the unpopular former NFL lineman. What isn’t expected is for either of these fighters to tap out their opponent, as these two strikers are both getting +2600 for a submission victory. There’s also slim chance of this fight going the distance, as you’ll receive +180 if it lasts all three rounds.
Here are the updated betting lines for Greg Hardy vs. Yorgan De Castro at UFC 249.
