The Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears will face off in a Madden sim Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET. The sim will be set to include rain, as opposed to the normal sunny conditions. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Mitchell Trubisky ($15,300)
In real life, Patrick Mahomes is the one normally leading the way in fantasy points. Not in sim land. Trubisky has averaged more fantasy points per sim than Mahomes so far this season. He’s doing a ton of damage with his legs, racking up 506 rushing yards over 10 games. Mitch is cheaper than Mahomes and he’s arguably a better play. The Bears defense will be tough for the Chiefs QB.
Damien Williams ($12,000)
This might be the first write-up in which I don’t tell you to captain a wide receiver. Don’t get used to it. Williams is an interesting play given his ceiling. A few games ago he went bananas with three TDs, three receptions and 139 yards for 38.3 fantasy points. There was a clear switch in production once the Madden sims changed to Arcade mode and extended the clock. More touches for Williams means more chances to hit a HR.
DeMarcus Robinson ($4,600)
It’s tough to find value in this contest but we have plenty of lotto tickets to try and cash in. Robinson is a decent looking ticket with double-digit fantasy points in four straight games, including a solid 21.4-point outing a few games ago against the Saints. Robinson is $2,000 cheaper than Sammy Watkins yet is averaging around the same fantasy points per sim.
Tarik Cohen ($2,600)
There must be some type of vendetta against pass-catching RBs via the salary makers. Cohen is another 3rd-down back that is perpetually underpriced. Sure, the production isn’t insane for Cohen, who is averaging 9.3 fantasy points per game. But I mean, if you read that sentence, you know that Cohen is a pretty easy play. If he hits his season average, that’s nearly 4x value. Cohen’s floor is very safe and his price is just too low.
