The Houston Texans and New York Giants will face off in a Madden sim Monday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Saquon Barkley ($13,800)
For some reason, there are three players more expensive than Barkley in the Captain’s spot. Sure, two of them are DeAndre Hopkins and Deshaun Watson, both over $15K, but still. What I’m getting at is Barkley is a stud and this is bargain pricing for someone like him in this spot. Barkley is going to get a ton of work on the ground and in the passing game. He’s usually a good play even if he’s unproductive.
Will Fuller V ($10,500)
It almost makes too much sense to use Fuller in this matchup against the Giants poor secondary. Usually it’s the slot guy who we want to target, but we’ll get to that later. Overall, the Giants don’t have good cover corners and I think most of the ownership for Houston goes to Watson and Hopkins. Fuller you get a little bit of leverage and his ceiling is similar to Hopkins.
Keke Coutee ($2,400)
There’s a chance Coutee gets matched up in the slot against Grant Haley. If this happens, the Giants could be in trouble. Coutee has been pretty disappointing in sim land but this matchup tends to be fool proof. Coutee does have an encouraging ceiling with five double-digit fantasy point outings.
Cody Latimer ($1,600)
I’m cool stacking both cheap WR options because we need salary cap to pay up for Barkley, Watson and Hopkins. Latimer isn’t the type of high risk/high reward play like Coutee is — Latimer is more likely to bust. The leverage we can get on Latimer is solid though and we don’t need him catch more than a few passes to return value.
