The Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins will face off in a windy Madden sim as part of wacky weather Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
Quarterbacks are a trendy pick against the Miami Dolphins, and Derek Carr ($16,200) has produced at a respectable level despite his lack of elite wideouts. If he’s not the top pick for the Raiders, Darren Waller ($12,900) is worth a look. He’s been more productive than Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow.
If you’re want an option on the Dolphins, I’d take a long, hard look at Ryan Fitzpatrick ($15,900). He has no ground game to support him and can air it out against a Raiders secondary that’s far from elite. Fitzpatrick makes use of all his receivers and Mike Gesicki is always a threat to have a breakout performance as well.
Flex Men
Josh Jacobs ($9,800) hasn’t been a top-notch running back, but he’s a far better option than either of Miami’s running backs. You can’t count out running backs in a windy game — especially when there aren’t a ton of skilled wide receivers. Another flex option to consider is Jakeem Grant ($4,600) has a ceilings that’s raised by his kick returning. He’s a cheap option and is the fastest player Miami has to offer.
