The top offensive weapons on each side should be captains in this matchup. Odell Beckham Jr. ($14,700) should be the top candidate for the Browns. He’s racked up receptions and receiving yards this sim season while also tallying one of the highest touchdown totals we’ve seen. He comes down with difficult catches consistently and has been just as productive as either starting quarterback in this matchup. Byron Jones doesn’t worry me, as Beckham has excelled against better cornerbacks.
Neither Amari Cooper or Michael Gallup have been very impressive for Dallas, and I think that limits the upside of Dak Prescott ($15,600). Ezekiel Elliott ($13,500) is consistently one of the priciest running backs, but gets a steady stream of touches and reaches the end zone often.
Prescott might have mobility over Baker Mayfield ($10,200) but the Browns have a much better receiving corps in sim land. Prescott’s dual threat abilities haven’t made him distinctively better than the Browns’ signal caller, so I’d opt for the cheaper option with similar upside at quarterback. Kareem Hunt ($3,200) is a reasonable running back play to make, as rostering both Elliott and Nick Chubb ($8,400) would be pretty expensive. Hunt is a fraction of the starter’s price and isn’t far off in DKFP average. Damion Ratley ($4,600) is another option, as speedy reserve receivers have also been trendy picks that can pan out in these sims.
