The Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts will face off in a Madden sim Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Miles Sanders ($12,600)
There’s a lot of fire power in this contest, so I’m hoping it will be an exciting simulation. Sanders is one of the more surprising performers so far in Madden sim land, averaging 17 fantasy points per contest over 23 games. Sanders is a little volatile as we see the range of outcomes, but the ceiling is exactly what we’re looking for at Captain. If this game’s pace is up, we should see plenty of Sanders, particularly in the passing game.
FADE OF THE GAME
Marlon Mack ($9,000)
This is a really easy pick and it’s been really hard to trust Mack in these simulations. He gets plenty of carries, that really isn’t the issue. The issue isn’t getting carries, other skill position players are scoring. The Colts feature one of the most pass-heavy offenses in Madden. The lack of TD upside coupled with the fact Mack gets no work in the passing game makes him a difficult play.
Nyheim Hines ($3,000). I just wanted to get him out of the way as quickly as possible. Hines has been the better RB compared to Mack and it’s not even close really. Hines is averaging nearly 3x his salary in DKFP per contest at 8.4 and with his work in the passing game, at this price he’s chalk city. Chester Rogers ($3,400) is also a good play on the Indy side at WR but is a bit more risky. There are games in which we don’t see much of Rogers, which is fine at this price.
Nelson Agholor ($4,800) is the value on the Philly side that stands out. He doesn’t have much TD upside with only five in 23 games but that doesn’t matter as much when we consider his speed. The game-breaking ability makes Agholor a big play waiting to happen.
