The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series will have its third race of the restarted season Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Baptist Health 200 will air on FS1 and take place at Homestead-Miami Speedway following the NASCAR Xfinity Series Hooter’s 250. It will be the third and final race of the weekend at the track.
Grant Enfinger won the last race in the series last weekend. He finished first at the Vet Tix Camping World 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Despite being the only driver with multiple wins (2) this season, he ranks third in the standings.
NASCAR will not hold traditional qualifying runs through the Talladega races June 20th and 21st. To cut down on events and attempt to protect health and safety, the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series are using random draws connected to points standings. The Truck Series will use a similar process to the Cup Series, drawing randomly from three groups to figure out spots 1-10, 11-21, and 22-32. Here is how the starting grid was determined for Satruday.
- Positions 1-10: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 11-21: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Positions 22-32: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
- Any vehicles that are eligible for the Event in position 33rd – 40th will be assigned starting positions based on their order of eligibility.
Austin Hill is the pole sitter and ranks first in the standings with 163 points. He finished second in the Vet Tix Camping World 200 and has the third best odds (+1200) to win this weekend on DraftKings Sportsbook. Kyle Busch is the favorite at -143 and will be starting in second. He has one win under his belt this season and has a good chance to get a second.
Here’s what the rest of the field looks like.
