Currently, Real Madrid is four points behind league-leaders Barcelona with a game in hand. They will want to make up some of that ground on Thursday when they face Valencia at 4:00 p.m. ET. Here is a look at some options for Captain as well as flex positions in DraftKings’ La Liga Showdown slate.

Karim Benzema ($14,700)
An outright striker, who is well fed by some of the best wingers and playmakers in the world, is a fantasy soccer blessing. Karim Benzema has Eden Hazard to his left and Gareth Bale to his right in Real Madrid’s 4-3-3 formation as he occupies the central striker role. He has scored 14 goals this season, second highest in the La Liga, behind only Lionel Messi.
Others to consider: Toni Kroos ($14,400)
High-priced flex options
Toni Kroos ($9,600)
Toni Kroos is the playmaker for this Real Madrid team from midfield. He is also the set-piece taker on most occasions. He won’t score a lot of goals, but he will set up plenty. He has scored four goals and has also chipped in with five assists. He averages 13.7 DKFP per game, third highest among both teams.
Eden Hazard ($9,000)
Eden Hazard hasn’t kickstarted his career with Real Madrid yet. His first season with his new club has been hit hard by injuries. He has managed just one goal this season but he has missed the majority of the season. He got the start in Real Madrid’s previous game. If manager Zinedine Zidane gives him the nod for the start again, he could add to his lone goal.
Daniel Parejo ($8,800)
Daniel Parejo is Valencia’s playmaker. He has the offensive talent to target with Rodrigo Moreno ($8,200) up front. Still, he has scored eight goals himself, second highest in Valencia. He has also added three assists. Interestingly, his 15.5 DKFP is highest among all players in this slate. In the last three games, he has added 10.4, 22.6 and 22.8 DKFP per game.
Others to consider: Gareth Bale ($7,200), Rodrigo Moreno ($8,200).
Value flex options
Sergio Ramos ($6,200)
Here’s the stat of the day: Sergio Ramos is Real Madrid’s second-highest goal-scorer this season! Browsing through the list of their offensive talent and that stat just seems to stick out like a very sore thumb. He has scored six goals this season, including one in the previous game against Eibar in a 3-1 win in their first game back from the hiatus.
Apart from their stunning offensive production, Real Madrid is also the La Liga’s most effective defense, having allowed just 20 goals this season, fewest in the Spanish league. Marcelo is a big part of that defensive line-up. Apart from the chance of keeping another clean sheet, Marcelo could even contribute offensively, like he did with a goal in the previous game.
Others to consider: Luka Modric ($5,600).
