The Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
Dalvin Cook ($13,500) and Adam Thielen ($12,200) are the best captain’s picks for this matchup. The Bengals have a weak defensive line and secondary. Cook has been the more productive player of the two and has put together more monster games, but Thielen is more affordable and allows for more flexibility. Andy Dalton doesn’t match up well against the Vikings’ versatile defense, so playing Minnesota’s defense/special ($5,400) in this spot might give you some much needed variance.
FLEX Men
I like Tyler Boyd ($6,800) and Tyler Eifert ($5,800) as flex plays in this one. Both have the ability to explode and outperform the often overpriced A.J. Green for cheap. Getting the top producer on the Bengals’ team will be important, and these two are the players not named Andy Dalton most likely to lead the way for Cincinnati.
Kirk Cousins ($10,800) is the better quarterback option here. His sturdy running game came help him move the chains when passing isn’t working well, and his duo of starting wideouts both have overall ratings above 90.
