UPDATE: Saturday betting splits for Muhammad-Good
A pair of experienced bantamweights looking to find the Top 15 rankings do battle as Belal Muhammad takes on Lyman Good at UFC on ESPN this Saturday night from the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas. This fight was supposed to take place at UFC 249 in Jacksonville, but Good to withdraw due to a positive coronavirus test.
Good is 21-5 in MMA, but with only a 3-2 mark since joining the UFC in 2015 with a two-year break after his first fight due to a positive test for androstenedione. His 21 wins include 11 knockouts and four submissions, and he’s very active on his feet throwing 5.32 strikes per minute while defending 75% of attempted takedowns.
Muhammad has the outstanding nickname “Remember The Name” and is 16-3 as an MMA pro. He’s 7-3 in the UFC, with wins in six of his last seven, but he’s not a stoppage fighter. Only five of his 16 wins have ended early, although his last victory over Takashi Sato in September of last year was by rear-naked choke.
