Play suspended in 4th round of RBC Heritage, to resume at 5:20 p.m. [UPDATE]

Wind is an important consideration in DFS and sports betting for golf. We break down the forecast for the 2020 RBC Heritage.

UPDATE 4:55 p.m.: The final round will resume at 5:20 p.m. ET.

UPDATE Sun June 21, 2:42 p.m.: The final round of the RBC Heritage has been suspended due to inclement weather. Dylan Fritteli and Justin Thomas are tied atop the leaderboard at -17. Fritteli is finished with his round, while Thomas is through 16. Daniel Berger, Ryan Palmer, and Webb Simpson are all one shot back and early in their fourth round of play.

UPDATE 7:31 p.m.: The second round of the RBC Heritage will resume at 7:45 p.m. ET.

UPDATE Fri June 19, 6:58 p.m.: Thunderstorms have hit Hilton Head Island, and the RBC Heritage has been suspended in the second round.

The PGA Tour teed off Thursday morning at Harbour Town Golf Links for the 2020 RBC Heritage. The AM half of the field has teed off, and the PM crowd gets going at 12:10 p.m. For that latter group, things could get dicey depending on how weather patterns progress.

The weather forecast for Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is calling for off and on thunderstorms, but more importantly, afternoon wind gusts. Rain could delay things here and there, but the wind could be the more consistent issue. Rotogrinders weather man Kevin Roth does not think it will be a huge issue, but if you’re looking for any kind of edge, that’s worth noting.

DraftKings has afternoon Showdown contests available for today, but be wary of the potential for winds hurting scores. Related to that, if you’re doing any live wagering at DraftKings Sportsbook this afternoon, higher scores might be the name of the game.
