Blue Jackets activated D Seth Jones off injured reserve

Defenseman had missed the past 14 regular-season games due to ankle injury. Columbus gets one of its key blue liners back for the playoffs.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated D Seth Jones off injured reserve, the team announced Thursday afternoon. The Jackets also activated D Dean Kukan off IR.

Jones had missed the last 14 games during the regular season due to an ankle injury sustained on February 11 against the Avalanche. He had 30 points (six goals, 24 assists) in 56 games for Columbus before the NHL went on break due to the coronavirus pandemic. With the League looking to return next month or in August, Jones has been activated off IR and is good to return to the lineup.
