The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

DeVante Parker ($13,800)

DON’T. SLEEP. ON. THE. PHINS. The Miami Dolphins are back and it’s in Madden simulations! It’s truly Fitzmagic. A lot of that magic is rubbing off on Parker, who is on some kind of hot streak. Four TDs in his past three sims, hitting the bonus in back-to-back contests. I’m going to ride the hot streak despite the Chiefs boasting a competent secondary. My guess is ownership will be heavy KC in the Captain.

Patrick Laird ($1,500)

If this is what the price for my boy Patrick Laird is going to be, you’ve got to consider him for the Captain. Laird is coming off a monster game in an upset win over the Seahawks. Laird caught two long passes for 62 yards and a TD. He even picked up seven yards on the ground. Laird is seeing enough snaps and targets for us to consider him at Captain. The savings could help you go chalk and stack the Chiefs or ... ahhh, stack the Chiefs!

FLEX Men

Tyreek Hill ($11,400)

This still seems like a really low price for Hill. The ceiling is just too high and Hill should really be priced up over $12K. Alas, we get Hill against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL, just waiting to feast on the Phins. Hill is a very risky and volatile play, though it may be necessary to play him in this matchup. Despite losing last game, Tyler Lockett had a pair of TDs and Hill is also a speedster, THE speedster in the NFL, if you will.

Demarcus Robinson ($3,800)

So, Robinson’s been one of the more consistent WR options in his price range. For some odd reason, he’s plummeted down to under $4K after being $5,200 last sim. That was against the Cardinals — another good matchup on paper. The Dolphins are just as good a matchup and we save $1,400. Bonus. Robinson has a great floor and isn’t TD dependent.
