Two Top-10 women’s flyweights in Roxanne Modafferi and Lauren Murphy will fight at UFC on ESPN 11. But is there fantasy value in this matchup on the card?

Modafferi is -124 on the money line, favored over Murphy at +100
Modafferi is one of the most experienced women’s MMA fighters in history with a 24-16 record. She has nine stoppages in her 24 victories, and is 3-3 in the UFC She throws 3.98 strikes per minute in UFC bouts, but absorbs plenty at 6.83 as well. She’s also gone the distance in five of six fights since reaching the UFC.
Murphy is 4-4 in the UFC, winning her last two fights over Mara Romero Borella and Andrea Lee. “Lucky” lands 3.76 strikes per minute, and averages 1.03 takedowns per 15 minutes in the octagon. Despite eight career KO/TKO’s in 12 wins, seven of her last eight fights have gone the distance.
These are two veteran, experienced fighters that will likely want to play the long game. They also don’t end fights early. This is fantasy poison, and neither of them should be on your roster tonight.
