The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in a Madden sim Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Josh Allen ($16,200)
Chances are Patrick Mahomes and most of the Chiefs offensive players are going to be highly owned in this contest. I think that makes it the perfect play to pivot to Allen, who is among the contingent of rushing QBs. These QBs have a special set of skills that makes them deadly in sim contests. Allen’s rushing upside elevates his ceiling and that’s exactly what we want from the Captain’s spot.
Fade of the Game
Tyreek Hill ($10,400)
You’re probably thinking, “Here we go again with the fades ...” Well, yeah, it’s risky to fade anyone in a sim contest like this. We really don’t know what can happen game-to-game because things are so unpredictable. So we’re going to take a chance and fade Hill, looking at better value on the Chiefs offense. Hill has an extremely high ceiling, but his floor is shaky and the Bills have an above average secondary.
Demarcus Robinson ($4,800) — D-Rob has been a pleasant surprise in Madden simulations and is among one of the top value plays in this contest. He’s effectively been the Chiefs WR3 and has been right up there with Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins in terms of production. The thing is, Robinson is cheaper and that’s what we need to craft a winning lineup.
Cole Beasley ($7,000) — Beasley may be a little bit pricier than most value plays but he’s got good upside and we need some leverage. I could see a lot of lineups overlooking Beasley and the Bills offense overall. We know slot receivers have good floors, making Beasley a pretty safe play.
