The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will face off in a Madden sim Monday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Pick

Davante Adams ($15,900)

The Lions don’t have a very strong secondary and this should be a good spot for the Packers passing attack. Adams is really the only viable receiving options for Green Bay. He’s got the best ceiling and the other Packer receivers don’t get enough volume to be safe plays. So with that, we’re going to Captain the best option in Adams.

Fade of the Game

Kerryon Johnson ($8,200)

This is a pretty easy pick in most simulations because for whatever reason, simulation Matt Patricia has him permanently in the dog house. So Johnson gets some early-down carries and goal line work, but it’s not enough to increase his ceiling to where we can afford him here. Johnson is going to be a fade in almost every contest, unless you want to get a lot of leverage in a good matchup.

Value Picks

J.D McKissic ($2,200) — If we’re going to fade Johnson, then McKissic is the way to go. For some reason these backfields split up weird and McKissic gets a lot of work that Johnson probably should get. McKissie gives us a good change of pace back who should get a few receptions and return value.

Geronimo Allison ($2,000) — I mentioned that the Packers WR corps isn’t very consistent, and while Allison is risky, he’s got a decent floor at this price. I could see the Packers offense really taking off against the Lions and if that’s the case, you’ll want to stack Rodgers and Adams with another play in Allison.
