Best NBA Finals bet among favorites, long shots for Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks were the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference before the season stopped. Nothing has changed with the regular season set to return in late July in Orlando. The Bucks have the best record in the NBA and potentially the reigning back-to-back MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo. So we can expect a good amount of betting action on the Bucks to reach the finals. But who will they face? Let’s take a look at some NBA Finals matchups for Milwaukee and which odds are the most enticing.

Best Favorite: Bucks vs. Clippers (+350)

First, it will be difficult to predict how each team will do when the season gets going again. Players may be absent and there are outside factors to consider in the long layoff. Many will look to bet on the other favorite matchup — Lakers-Bucks. So there’s some value in taking Clippers at +350 over Lakers at +310 to face the Bucks. You could argue the Clippers should be favored to win it all now that they’ve rested for about four months. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George should be fresh and the Clips were the favorites heading into the season.

Best Longshot: Bucks vs. Nuggets (+1900)

There’s going to be a ton of value in longshot finals bets, mostly because we really don’t know what to expect from each team. With that in mind, of all the teams in the West who could surprise us, the Nuggets aren’t a bad option. Denver has spent time at the top of the conference and has depth that can stack up against any team in the NBA. Nikola Jokic is slimmed down and that could be a positive or negative. If Jokic comes back and is running the floor and speeding up the Nuggets’ pace, they could be a completely different team.
