There is plenty to play for with two separate $100,000 contests at stake in DraftKings’ League of Legends slate from the LPL and the LCK on Thursday. Here are some players to consider for your roster and the reasons for them.

Set your lineups here: LOL $100K Shock Blast [$25K to 1st] (LPL-LCK)

Captain

Lwx ($12,000)
It’s rare to see four players separated by $300 at the top of the Captain’s category in League of Legends. With Royal Never Give Up and FunPlus Phoenix in this slate, that’s the case here. Lwx has carried on from where he left off in the spring split. In spring, he had close to 4.40 kills a game. In summer so far, he has 4.25 kills a map. Consistent players are a fantasy boon.

Others to consider: Betty ($12,300)

Top

Rascal ($6,000)
From an offensive perspective, Rascal has started quite well. However, his death rate of 3.83 per game is far too high. That’s the only reason his KDA isn’t exceptionally high, by top-laner standards. He has 2.83 kills and 4.17 assists in six maps in the LCK’s summer season. It’s a small sample size but I’d say his KDA is only going to increase.

Other to consider: Doran ($6,400)

Jungler

Tian ($6,800)
Pyosik ($7,200) has deserved his tag as the most expensive jungler in this slate. However, Tian, at a price of $6,800, should provide a much better return compared to the price. It has taken Tian just eight maps to carry his kill participation over 10 (2.63 kills and 7.63 assists per game). He has a KDA of 3.73.

Others to consider: Pyosik ($7,200)

Mid

Chovy ($7,600)
There are several candidates for this spot, including Xiaohu ($7,800) and Doinb ($8,000). I’ve gone with Chovy because of his all-round prowess. The LCK’s pace of play is a bit slower, which means the more skilled players maintain a lower death rate. Case in point is Chovy’s summer numbers of 3.5 kills, 1.67 deaths and 6 assists with a KDA of 5.7 and a CSPM of over 10. These stats are hard to match for any player in any competitive league.

Others to consider: Doinb ($8,000)

ADC

Betty ($8,200)
You will need at least one player from Royal Never Give Up. Betty should be that person in the ADC category if he wasn’t selected as Captain. In three maps against eStar, he had a combined KDA of 22/9/15. He has averaged a stellar 4.75 kills, 1.5 deaths and 5.08 assists. RNG might have found their long-term replacement for Uzi if he can keep up this form.

Others to consider: Puff ($7,400)

Support

Southwind ($5,000)
Think of roster construction as the ability to solve problems in order to find a better balance to your roster. Here, you’re faced with two problems: a low average salary remaining and an imbalance across the four games. Southwind solves both. He is priced at an inexpensive $5,000 and he provides a strong hedging target from Invictus Gaming.

Team

Gen.G ($5,000)
There are more obvious teams to target, such as Royal Never Give Up ($5,400) and DragonX ($5,800) but you might need a budget pick. Gen.G should fit into your requirements. They are better than Damwon Gaming, at least on paper, and that should show on Thursday.
