The Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Panthers D/ST ($5,400)
This one is in the snow in Buffalo, so we could see a sloppy game. If that’s the case, I like the Panthers D/ST over the Bills D/ST. Buffalo’s run game isn’t as strong as Carolina and Luke Keuchly should be an X-Factor at LB. He’s a beast in these sims. Add in the snow and I could see it being a rough game for Josh Allen and Devin Singletary.
Fade of the Game
Cam Newton ($16,800)
Really take your pick between Newton and Allen here. QBs are always overpriced and the snow makes it tough for them to hold onto the ball. More fumbles = more turnovers = less points for your fantasy lineup. Newton doesn’t really have much throwing upside and his legs don’t help him as much. Allen is the safer QB play.
Robert Foster ($4,200) — Similar thinking to Wright with Foster. He’s got good upside considering his price and we should still see some passing in this game despite the snow. Foster has a really nice floor for a wideout in these Showdowns, which makes it easy to use riskier plays in the other spots.
Jarius Wright ($2,200) — Wideouts are always good value picks and Wright is one of a few that stands out in this contest. He’s generally going to operate out of the slot, and while the snow is concerning I think it won’t hamper passing games as much as you think. Wright should be low owned in the contest as well.
