The Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
Russell Wilson ($17,400) can light it up in a lot of ways. He has a bevy of superstar traits, can scramble, and has some of the best deep throw accuracy in the game. All of his skills should be amplified against the Lions’ poor defense despite his lack of an elite receiver and consistent contributions from his running backs. It’s hard to not play the second highest rated quarterback in the game with this matchup.
The worst part of Detroit’s defense is its secondary, but it’s hard to key in one one Seattle wideout. Both Tyler Lockett ($15,000) and DK Mecalf ($9,300) should receive some consideration, as both can have breakout games. I’d give the edge to Metcalf though because of his 95 speed. That mixes well with Wilson’s arm strength and accuracy.
FLEX Men
Will Dissly ($7,000) has quietly been one of the more productive tight ends we’ve seen this sim season. He hovers around 10 DKFP per game and can be as productive as much pricier options. Detroit has weapons at well, but some of its best Madden players are backups. Marvin Jones Jr. ($7,400) and J.D. McKissic ($2,000) have both outplayed the first string option on their respective teams. Jones could very will be the top performer at wide receiver in this game given his reception and touchdowns totals while McKissic is more of a a quality value play.
