Tale of the tape for Philipe Lins vs. Tanner Boser

UPDATE: Fight day odds and betting splits for Lins-Boser

Two heavyweights still early in their UFC careers fight on the undercard at UFC on ESPN 12 this Saturday when Philipe Lins takes on Tanner Boser. It’s a dead-even fight according to the oddsmakers, who have this as a coinflip.

Lins lost his UFC debut just six weeks ago on May 13th to Andrei Arlovski by decision, and has a professional record of 14-4. He was the 2018 champion at heavyweight in the Professional Fighters League, and hadn’t loss at the highest weight class before the last fight. The 35-year-old Brazilian landed 2.73 strikes per minute in his last fight, but attempted no takedowns.

Boser is 1-1 in the black octagon, both unanimous decisions. He’s 17-6-1 overall, and has landed 4.17 strikes per minute without attempting a takedown in his UFC fights. The 28-year-old Canadian has 10 stoppages in his 17 wins, including eight by KO/TKO.
