The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders will face off in a Thursday Madden sim at 12:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings before kickoff.
The Raiders’ best cornerback has an overall rating of 75, and they only have one defensive back with a rating above 80. Jameis Winston ($15,900) has one of the best starting wideout duos in the game and no running game to depend on. Expect the Buccaneers quarteback to air it out like usual. While he struggles with inaccuracy at times, Oakland doesn’t have enough talent to capitalize on his mistakes.
Tampa Bay doesn’t have a good pass defense either, and that’s why Derek Carr ($16,200) should receive some consideration. His receiving corps isn’t as good as Winston’s, but he has better short and medium throw accuracy and a top-notch tight end to depend on.
Both Darren Waller ($7,600) and O.J. Howard ($7,400) have been quality tight ends this sim season, and I’m not against rostering both of them in this contest. Both have hefty reception and touchdown totals. Mike Evans ($9,800) has the size to take advantage of mismatches and comes down with passes in traffic with the best of them. It’s hard to see the highest ranked wideout in the contest not being a part of the winning lineup.
