How the public is betting English Premier League matches today, including Chelsea-Manchester City

Three matches today in the EPL, including Manchester City keeping the championship from being decided a few days longer

There are three matches in the English Premier League today, and bettors believe Liverpool will need to wait a few days longer to claim the trophy, because Manchester City will defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge according to early action at DraftKings Sportsbook.

At 1:00 p.m. ET Southampton takes on Arsenal in a battle of mid-table sides playing out the string. It’s been a disappointing season for the Gunners, who still have FA Cup glory to achieve. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has 17 goals in the league this season, no one else has as much as seven. A side known for their swashbuckling flair under Arsene Wenger has a pair of losses during Project Restart, and look to get back to winning today under. Mikel Arteta.

The more meaningful match at 1:00 p.m. is Burnley vs. Watford, and the Hornets are in search of points with just 28 entering today, only one from safety. Watford really struggles to score, with just 28 goals this season while conceding 45. The club was once owned by Elton John during their glory days, but now will need to play well behind leading scorer Troy Deeney just to survive, and his six tallies this season are the least of any EPL team’s top goal creator.

At 3:15 p.m. Manchester City have a chance to extend the season with a win over Chelsea, but any other result gives the trophy to Liverpool with seven matches remaining. City enter as big favorites on the road, and Pep Guardiola’s charges have played excellent football this year, though overshadowed by the team that will win the championship. They claimed the League Cup earlier this year, have perhaps more depth than any team in the league with Sergio Agüero and Raheem Sterling in attack, and Pep Guardiola’s side still have Champions League and FA Cup glory to play for.

But with a loss or draw today, it will all be matches just for placement the rest of the way. And the first title on Merseyside in 30 years will be issued.
