Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was on a conference call on Thursday and updated reporters on Odell Beckham Jr.’s status, saying he is “free and clear” for training camp, per Pro Football Talk.
Stefanski says that Beckham won’t have any restrictions after his core surgery this offseason. We’ve seen video of Beckham working out this offseason with Cam Newton and he appeared ready to go. If things go as planned, which is an open question, Beckham Jr. will be ready to go for the start of training camp.
Beckham Jr. hasn’t lived up to his early career numbers after being traded to the Browns last offseason, but he did play through a sports hernia last season. If he can stay healthy and the Browns and Baker Mayfield can get going behind an improved offensive line, Beckham Jr. is set up for a strong season.
