We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the six-game slate on Friday, which starts at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Quarterbacks
Stud
Lamar Jackson, BAL at CAR ($7,600)
Due to his rushing ability, Jackson has been great in our Madden sims. He averages 20.5 DKFP without having much success throwing the football. Instead, he’s kind of been the best running back in our contests, kind of like what the real life memes of his suggest. Jackson has 1,761 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.
Value
Mitchell Trubisky, CHI vs. ARI ($5,800)
I love that on a slate with guys like Lamar Jackson, Tom Brady ($7,400) and Dak Prescott ($6,600), Trubisky has the best DKFP average. He is putting up 20.9 DKFP per game and has been one of the most reliable players in our sims. Not bad for a guy that will likely be a backup QB this season. The difference between Trubisky in Madden and real life is how often he runs the ball. After rarely running last season, he’s racked up 1,366 rushing yards in our contests. With a great matchup against the Cardinals, he’s my favorite play at the position on this slate and I would have even been willing to roster him as the most expensive player at the position. Luckily, we don’t have to pay much of a premium for Trubisky and he’s the cheapest player at QB today.
Running Backs
Stud
Dalvin Cook, MIN at CLE ($6,800)
It’s almost as if video game Dalvin Cook is playing for his contract in real life. Currently holding out to get a new contract from the Vikings, his DKFP average has weirdly been skyrocketing since reports came out about his holdout. Cook has scored doubled-digit DKFP in 11 of his last 12 games, bringing his DKFP average to 17.1 per game. This makes him the top running back option on the slate with 22 total touchdowns and 2,149 rushing yards.
Value
Miles Sanders, PHI vs. TEN ($5,200)
Despite some iffy games lately, Sanders has still been one of our top sim running backs with a 15.8 DKFP average. As always, he has significant upside and has the best fantasy game of any player in Madden. Against the Cardinals, Sanders scored 58.7 DKFP, which is a record I doubt we will see broken. It’s also nice that Sanders is involved in the game regardless of the script. He’s heavily involved in the passing and running game.
Wide Receivers
Stud
Odell Beckham Jr., CLE vs. MIN ($7,200)
Running back is loaded today, which is something we can’t really say about the wide receiver position. OBJ is the only wideout averaging more than 15 DKFP. He’s also had a nice recent stretch of games after a cold spell. Beckham has scored at least 22 DKFP in back-to-back games, getting to 20 total sim touchdowns. In a real life note, he said this week that he’s fully healed after undergoing hernia surgery and I think he’s in line for a big bounce back after disappointing last year.
Value
Mohamed Sanu, NE vs. BUF ($4,100)
Since the Patriots don’t have a dominant number one receiver in Madden, Brady spreads the ball out. It’s been working and New England has won 13 of its last 14 games. One of the primary targets for Brady is Sanu. He averages 12.7 DKFP and is extremely consistent. Sanu has scored at least 11 DKFP in seven of his last eight games.

Tight Ends
Stud
Zach Ertz, PHI vs. TEN ($5,400)
The only tight end rated over a 90 on this slate, Ertz has scored at least 12 DKFP in eight of his last 10 games. He also has a lot of upside for the position and scored over 30 DKFP in two of those games. Per dollar, he isn’t my favorite play at the position in a so-so matchup against the Titans, but the highest rated player with the best DKFP average at the position, he’s the guy to roster if you have the available cap space.
Value
Ben Watson, NE vs. BUF ($4,200)
Taking price into account, Watson is my favorite play at tight end. He averages 15 DKFP, the most of any player in the Patriots’ passing game. To show involved he’s been the Pats’ passing game, Watson is closing in on 2,000 receiving yards. Overall, he’s hauled in 151 catches for 1,892 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Defense/Special Teams
Cowboys DST vs. MIA ($3,200)
One of the only defenses with decent fantasy output, the Cowboys’ DST actually averages 7.0 DKFP. In their last six games, they have scored at least 5,0 DKFP in all of them and have three games with double-digit DKFP. Playing against the Dolphins, we couldn’t ask for a much better matchup. Ryan Fitzpatrick ($5,900) is one of lowest-rated QBs on the slate and has thrown 10 interceptions.
