UPDATE: Fight day odds and betting splits for Frey-Hansen
A pair of strawweight women making their UFC debuts will raise the curtain on UFC on ESPN 12 tomorrow night when Jinh Yu Frey takes on Kay Hansen as the first fight on the card in Las Vegas.
Frey is 9-4 as an MMA pro, and has won three of her last four fights, all of them going the distance. The 35-year-old from Arlington, Texas only has three stoppages in her career, and has mostly fought on the Invicta circuit. She’s moving up from atomweight to compete here.
Hansen is 6-3 as a pro with wins in her last two. The Whittier, California native has five stoppage wins, including three by submission. Her last win was over Liana Ferreira Pirosin on March 6th, and her last four fights have taken place in Kansas City, Kansas.
It was only the generosity of Invicta President Shannon Knapp that allowed this fight to happen, as both combatants were under contract with her promotion. But she didn’t want to stand in their way as they get to perform on the biggest stage now.
Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Jinh Yu Frey vs. Kay Hansen at UFC on ESPN 12 on June 27th:
Money line odds
Jinh Yu Frey: Opened +115, now +138
Kay Hansen: Opened -143, now -175
