Two heavyweights still early in their UFC careers fight UFC on ESPN 12 tonight when Philipe Lins takes on Tanner Boser. It’s a dead-even fight according to the oddsmakers, who have this as a coinflip, but is it also a pick ‘em for DFS value?

DraftKings DFS Values

Philipe Lins: $8,300
Tanner Boser: $7,900

Both Lins and Boser are -112 on the money line, so pick your side on the money line.

Lins lost his UFC debut six weeks ago to Andrei Arlovski by decision, and has a professional record of 14-4. The 2018 champion at heavyweight in the Professional Fighters League, he hadn’t loss at the highest weight class before the last fight. The 35-year-old Brazilian landed 2.73 strikes per minute with no takedown attempts.

Boser is 1-1 in the black octagon, both unanimous decisions. He’s 17-6-1 overall, and has landed 4.17 strikes per minute without even attempting a takedown in either UFC fight. The 28-year-old Canadian has 10 stoppages in his 17 wins, including eight by KO/TKO.

Stopping power just has too much value in DFS, so the $400 price difference is a price we’ll gladly pay for Lins. Boser hasn’t won a fight early in his last seven trips in the cage, and we’ll be looking for Lins’ KO power to find the range early.
