The New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts will face off in a Madden sim Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Pick
T.Y. Hilton ($15,300)
We know the deficiencies of the Giants secondary and because of that I say load up on Colts WRs. Like all of them. Don’t fade any of them. Hilton is the best option and his ceiling is in the 35-40 point range from what we’ve seen in simulations. So Hilton may be expensive and chalky, but we’ve talked about good chalk and this is one of those chalks.
Fade of the Game
Marlon Mack ($11,400 CP)
Mack has been underwhelming in sim land overall and is sharing the backfield with Nyheim Hines. It’s basically an even split with Hines getting passing-down work, so really not much upside for Mack at all. The matchup is good, but like I said above, you’re going to want to target WRs and TEs in this game environment.
Value Picks
Darius Slayton ($6,400) — Because I already told you to play every Colts WR, you don’t need to look for them down in this section. Just go throw em in there. If you aren’t crazy about an all-in Colts strategy, then lean on Slayton as a high-floor play at a reasonable price. He’s basically the WR1 for the Giants.
Nyheim Hines ($3,000) — Oh hey, look, it’s Hines! You’re probably not shocked that Hines ends up as a value pick. He’s been really solid in Madden sims overall and even if he hadn’t been, a 3rd-down back who also gets some carries at a really low price is always something I look for in these Showdowns.
