The Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals will face off in a Madden sim Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Pick
Russell Wilson ($17,400)
First off, you’re not fading Wilson in this contest. You can play him in the UTIL spot to get some leverage, but know you’re risking missing out on potentially 40-50 DKFP with the 1.5x multiplier. Wilson has perhaps the highest ceiling of any Madden QB and he does a lot of damage with his legs. The Bengals defense could elevate Wilson to new heights not yet seen in sim land.
Fade of the Game
Running Backs
Usually I give you a player in this spot but I’d say running backs in general aren’t as favorable. If you’re going to use anyone Gio Bernard or CJ Prosise make some sense, that’s it. I wouldn’t touch either of the top RBs really and focus up on throwing in as many pass catchers around Wilson.
Value Picks
Tyler Eifert ($6,400) — Similar to the Ross pick, we’re going to want leverage and Eifert gives us that again. He’s got a decent floor, though carries some risk as a TE who doesn’t get a ton of targets. If he can find the end zone, we’re in business.
John Ross III ($4,400) — If we want to get leverage, we’re going to need to look at Bengals players. It’s easy to stack the Seahawks and go with Russ, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Ross is a decent price and has a good floor/ceiling combo. He should sink your lineup and should go lower owned in this Showdown.
