The Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens will face off in a Madden sim Sunday at 10:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Pick
Lamar Jackson ($17,400)
If the Ravens were playing any other team, maybe I look at another player at Captain. I don’t think we can and Jackson has to be used here because of his upside. For all we know, Jackson torches the Dolphins for 100 yards and two TDs ON THE GROUND. That’s not even considering how many more points he’ll add through the air. The upside is just too good.
Fade of the Game
Willie Snead ($9,600 CP)
It’s been weeks now and I’m still pondering why Snead is this expensive. He’s been awful in sim land and really doesn’t offer us much upside. He won’t even get us any leverage in this spot against the Dolphins. Most of the ownership will go to the Ravens in this contest. So stacking up on Miami is the sharp play.
Value Picks
Albert Wilson ($5,600) — Like I said above, you’re going to want to stack up on Dolphins and a good way to do that is paying down. Wilson is another one of those WRs who has some upside. He should get a few looks from Ryan Fitzpatrick and has the potential to pop if he can find the end zone.
Patrick Laird ($1,000) — Laird was a cult hero during the regular season and thankfully that’s bled into these Madden simulations. Laird actually has a pretty decent floor given he gets most of the receiving work out of the backfield for Miami. If he can get a few catches, great. If he can find the end zone, double great.
