Modest sleeper and deep sleeper options to consider for NASCAR DFS at Pocono today

We break down some sleepers and some deep sleepers today’s Pocono 350 from Long Pond, PA

The Tricky Triangle hosts a NASCAR Cup race for the second day in a row today as the Pocono 350 has the green flag drop at 4:00 p.m. on FS1 today, and DraftKings will have DFS contests for the race.

We break down some of the best picks to round out your roster below, and you can set your lineup here. Keep in mind some of these prices were set before the end of yesterday’s race, so there’s a lot of value when yesterday’s performance is factored into your decision.

Modest Sleepers

Aric Almirola ($7,200)

Started on the pole yesterday, and finished third after winning Stage 2 and finishing second in Stage 1. Led 61 laps and scored the most points of anyone in the race with 53. The #10 Ford clearly has enough car to win, and even with him starting 18th today, he can still get to the front and win.

Erik Jones ($7,400)

Wrecked yesterday on Lap 70, but has such a good record at Pocono he shouldn’t be ignored. Had finished 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in his last three races at the track before yesterday. And with him starting 38th today, there’s plenty of place points available.

Deep Sleepers

Michael McDowell ($5,500)

Just keeps putting up points cheap every week. Started 26th yesterday and finished 8th, and led a lap. Has increased his starting position at the finish by 13.16 spots the last six races. Will start 13th today, and even if he doesn’t have the equipment of his peers, he knows how to stay out of trouble.

Ryan Newman ($6,300)

Led 13 laps yesterday, and finished 15th after running comfortably around that position most of the day. The #6 Roush Fenway car doesn’t tend to run to the top of the field, but it doesn’t get left behind either. Finished 8th, 16th, and 14th in his last three races here.
