Captain
Marcus Rashford ($15,900)
Rashford is probably the most incisive player in the box for Manchester United. He has incredible pace and composure in front of goal for a player as young as he is. He has scored 14 goals this EPL season already. He was brought on off the bench in Manchester United’s FA Cup game against Norwich but should return directly into the starting XI for the Premier League.
Others to consider: Anthony Martial ($16,800)
High-priced flex options
Anthony Martial ($11,200)
Like Rashford, Martial also started on the bench in the FA Cup. He was brought on late, primarily for extra time against Norwich. Like Rashford, Martial has also scored 14 goals this season, including a hat-trick against Sheffield United. He has form, fluency and momentum, enviable characteristics in any sport. He should be back into the starters against Brighton.
Neal Maupay ($8,400)
Neal Maupay has been hot and cold after the resumption of the Premier League season. He scored a morale-boosting last-minute goal against Arsenal, but missed a penalty in the next game in an underwhelming performance. He has scored nine goals this season, which is fairly high for a team that hasn’t scored too many.
David De Gea ($7,800)
De Gea remained on the bench for the entirety of United’s FA Cup game as manager Solskjaer opted for Romero instead. However, de Gea should slot right back in for the EPL. United has conceded just 31 goals in 31 games this season, an average of one per game. Against a middling Brighton offense, he has a high chance of keeping another clean sheet.
Others to consider: Bruno Fernandes ($12,000)
Value flex options
Paul Pogba ($6,000)
Pogba has endured an injury-laden few months. After this period, we’ve all almost forgotten how skilled a player he is. He has been one of the best in Europe for a long time now, not in terms of scoring but in making the right ball at the right time. His price of $6,000 reflects his form, not his class, which is why he is a value target if he gets the start.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka ($6,600)
United’s FA Cup game went to extra time against Norwich just a few days back. That could leave them incredibly fatigued for this game. Wan-Bissaka did not play any part in that game. He should have the entire 90 minutes in this game. He has managed three assists as well this season. If United don’t concede, he could add points for clean sheet.
Others to consider: Harry Maguire ($5,000)
