Outfielder rankings for 2020 fantasy baseball

Major League Baseball will return for a 60-game season and we’re here with our 2020 outfielder fantasy baseball rankings to help you prepare.

Welcome to the 2020 MLB season! It’s here? Well, a version of baseball is hopefully here for 60 regular season games. There’s still a month to go until the first games are played which is plenty of time for the earth to be taken over by the Hungry Hungry Hippos of Hasbro Habitat for not Humanity. But, we will continue to act like baseball and more importantly, fantasy baseball will happen.

A 60 game season with players possibly missing time due to being quarantined, could be a huge dumpster barge fire. But here at DraftKings Nation, we are the positive, happy people! Let’s do this thing!

Outfielders, as usual, are the cream of the crop for fantasy, with my Top-5 fantasy players in the league having outfield eligibility. From Ronald Acuna Jr. to Mookie Betts, you’re going to grab one and feel super cool about life. Will Acuna take over Trout’s top spot? Hard to say, but I’m leaning toward him as my No. 1.

After those five, Juan Soto is right there with them in the Top-10 overall. His power numbers are elite while his only knock, if you can call it one, is a low ceiling for stolen bases. The next tier drops a bit further, as J.D. Martinez, Bryce Harper and Starling Marte come up, showing the depth at this position. But, that top player depth will run out when you are trying to fill three spots.

I want one of these top guys on my team and then another somewhere before the fifth round and then grab some “sleeper” picks to man that third outfield position. There are plenty of sleepers out there who aren’t sleepers of course, but they’ll still be found later in drafts due to so many options. You should be able to luck into a strong third outfielder without too much trouble.
