The Indiana Pacers are surprisingly ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference. Despite not having Victor Oladipo for a large chunk of the season, they have been able to thrive. The acquisition of Malcolm Brogdon over the offseason and Domantas Sabonis becoming an All-Star has helped Indiana exceed expectations. While it’s secured a playoff spot, its odds to reach the NBA Finals are slim at +3300. Here are some of the best bets you can make on who the Pacers could face in the championship series.
Indiana Pacers NBA Finals matchup odds
Best Favorite: Pacers vs. Lakers (+8000)
Oladipo has been a key two-way player for the Pacers sine he joined them in 2017. The two-time All-Star hasn’t quite recovered from the leg injury that ended his season early last year and is averaging 13.8 points per game this season. If he picks up some steam and combines well with Brogdon, Sabonis, T.J. Warren, and Myles Turner, they could meet the Western Conference favorites at the final stage.
Best Longshot: Pacers vs. Rockets (+25000)
The chances of Indiana facing the Clippers are +9000. That’s basically the same as betting on a Lakers matchup. The Rockets have the third best odds (+700) to reach the NBA Finals, and betting on them facing off against the Pacers would win you a lot more money. All the teams with multiple All-Stars have a real shot at winning it all. Betting on any other potential Pacers matchup would be a bit of a reach, even for a longshot bet.
