DFS considerations for Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer

The two-division champion Nunes faces a Canadian with stopping power in the main event of UFC 250 in Felicia Spencer. We break down DFS considerations.

UFC 250 features likely the best women’s fighter of all time in Amanda Nunes facing Canadian Felicia Spencer in the main event of the evening.

DraftKings DFS Values

Amanda Nunes: $9,400
Felicia Spencer: $6,800

The fantasy implications of this fight are interesting, and it might not make sense to have either fighter on your roster. Nunes has the largest price of all 24 contenders on the card at $9,400, but her last seven fights have been pretty polar; she’s won four times in the first round by stoppage, but also three times in the fifth round, and two of those were by decision.

With a strike rate of 4.62 per round, and just 1.78 takedowns per 15 minutes of octagon time, her counting stats aren’t the highest. Any fighter is always worth the price if a first-round KO is assured with a 90 point win bonus, but that might not happen here as Spencer’s only career loss was by decision.

Meanwhile Spencer will want to fight on the ground, but that should be a struggle to shoot on the best female to ever do it. Her $6,800 is a bargain if she’s a winner, but she’s a +475 underdog for a reason. Her four career first-round stoppages might seem tempting, but those were fights against nowhere near the caliber of what she’s facing on Saturday.

The main event should be an exciting fight with contrasting styles, but it might be one to avoid for DFS purposes.
