A ranked young star in Cody Stamann looks to get back on track against Brian “Boom” Kelleher in a featherweight bout at UFC 250. Are these fighters that should make your fantasy DFS roster for the card?

DraftKings DFS Values

Cody Stamann: $9,100
Brian Kelleher: $7,100

Stamann enters ranked #12 in the featherweight division, and has an 18-2-1 record. There’s eight stoppages on that record with six KO’s and two submissions, but his takedown average of 3.58 per 15 minutes of octagon time is strong. So is his 4.25 significant strikes per minute.

Kelleher is a veteran with a 21-10 mark, but 17 stoppages in his career. He’s 5-3 in the UFC, and four of those wins have come without the judges. While his 1.25 takedowns isn’t terrific, he’s very active with 5.01 big punches per 60 seconds.

“Boom” Kelleher enters as a bit worse than a 2-1 underdog, but he’s earned the nickname because of his ability to end fights. If he was to win here, it’s likely early and that $7,100 would look quite good. Winning DFS players will need to guess correctly on this fight if he wins, but if he loses it can be a stay away as Stamann doesn’t bring enough activity or stopping power to the table to justify the price.
