The Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons will face off in a Madden sim Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Devonta Freeman ($12,600)
Freeman is slowly morphing into one of those combo players in Madden sims. He’s not only an RB1 but also has WR1 upside for the Falcons. Julio Jones hasn’t been the same WR in sim land and Freeman has at least six receptions in each of the past three games. Some of the yardage totals are low, but that floor is insane. It’s resulted in some pretty gaudy fantasy box scores — in fact, if you look at Freeman’s game log it’s riddled with double-digit performances.

Austin Hooper ($11,100 CP)
Hooper isn’t on the Falcons in real life and he’s not showing up for the Falcons. Clearly, he’s unhappy in sim land. Hooper isn’t happy because he isn’t getting the ball. Over the past three games, Hooper has a combined five catches. He only has five TDs in 21 games so his upside is capped a bit. I wouldn’t touch Hooper in the Captain’s spot in this contest. There are so many better options on the board.
As is tradition, there are two WRs that stand out as value plays. Adam Humphries ($3,400), like most slot receivers, is a safe play. Russell Gage ($4,600) I’ve seen first-hand go bonkers in a simulation against the Giants. That was a better matchup — good thing matchup doesn’t matter. Gage has two TDs in the past two sims against the Ravens and 49ers — two elite defenses. If you’re feeling squirrelly there, go with Ryan Succop ($4,000). He’s got a decent floor for a kicker and this game could be low scoring. Atlanta’s offense is inconsistent and the Titans don’t have a ton of weapons.
