Best lineup strategy for Rams vs. Bills Madden simulation Showdown

The Rams and Bills square off in a Wednesday Madden simulation at DraftKings. We break down Showdown strategy to consider.

The Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Pick

Robert Woods ($11,700)

This game will be played in the snow, but I don’t see that stopping the Rams’ passing attack. My favorite play of the trio is Woods, who should be priced between both Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks. We could have a situation where Woods is the lower owned and all three have really strong upside. Most lineups will look to stack the Rams despite the weather.

Fade of the Game

Josh Allen ($15,900 CP)

Normally I’d love Allen in a Madden sim, but this isn’t one of those contests. The snow scares me off of Allen because it elevates the fumble risk. For a QB who loves to tuck it and run, that could mean a turnover or two. There’s no doubting Allen’s rushing upside — especially in the snow. The Rams have the D-Line that can get pressure, so let’s not pay a fortune for Allen in this one.

Value Picks

Robert Foster ($3,000) — Foster may have only had 64 receiving yards on three catches in 2019 but that doesn’t mirror his play in sim land. He’s been one of the Bills better wideouts in these contests and offers us a nice value option with a good ceiling.

Frank Gore ($2,200) — I’ve seen Gore vulture TDs from Devin Singletary in these Showdowns. In a game in Buffalo in the snow, we could see an increase in running plays. If the Bills can get into a few goal line situations, Gore could find he was to pay dirt. That’s all we’d need for him to return value at this price.
