Captain

Harry Kane ($15,300 CP)

Harry Kane scored a landmark goal in his previous game against West Ham. As soon as he broke free with a smart run, there was hardly any doubt he will slot the ball in the bottom right corner in a 1v1 situation. That was his 12th goal of the EPL season, breaking quite a long drought for him. Even though Son Heung-Min ($17,100 CP) has had a fine few gameweeks, I’d still take the quality of Harry Kane as Captain.

Others to consider: Son Heung-Min ($17,100 CP)

High-priced flex options

Dele Alli ($8,800)

Alli returned to the starting XI against West Ham after missing the preceding game against Manchester United due to serving a one-game suspension for a post on social media. He immediately brought some offensive depth into the Tottenham attack, which is why Jose Mourinho prefers him alongside Kane. He has scored eight goals with four assists in this Premier League season.

Son Heung-Min ($11,400)

Most EPL teams will be aware that you can’t give Son any space. He made himself just a bit of room and unfurled a razing goal into the bottom left corner with his right foot against West Ham, only for the goal to be disallowed by VAR due to him being offside by inches. That was enough evidence that he can be lethal if Tottenham get into any sort of rhythm.

John Fleck ($8,400)

John Fleck missed Sheffield United’s first game back due to a knock in training. For a team that is primarily defense-oriented, Sheffield United was desperate for his return to provide offensive fluency. He has scored five goals this season, exactly one-sixth (or 16.67%) of Sheffield United’s goals in the EPL.

Others to consider: Steven Bergwijn ($9,600)

Value flex options

Serge Aurier ($8,000)

Aurier has two advantages. The first is that Sheffield United doesn’t score a lot of goals. So if that repeats again, then there is a clean sheet in the offing. He also has a strong offensive mindset on either flank. He has already chipped in with one goal and five direct assists in this EPL season so far.

George Baldock ($6,200)

Baldock could also be a useful hedging target, not just from Sheffield United but also from a results perspective. If Tottenham does not find a way past Sheffield, then Baldock could add yet another clean sheet. Sheffield has conceded just 31 goals this season, second fewest in the Premier League after Liverpool.

Others to consider: Hugo Lloris ($7,800)
